A Yearly Reflection from a SquishRock – 2021

Hey there, Oxdarock here!

Just thought I’d do a little reflection on the past year. Some people like to include their plans for the next year in these, but I’ll save that for when 2022 actually rolls around.

Anyway, this was a pretty decent year. World’s slowly recovering from Covid and I got a good amount of drawing done, though I could always do more. Need to work more on my daily habits.

The most noteworthy thing that stands out to me this year is my progression on my Japanese studies. I have a very basic knowledge of the general sentence structure and am able to translate my works into Japanese (with the help of an online dictionary). Currently, my biggest obstacle is vocabulary, particularly Kanji (of course), since I can’t even properly practice reading since having a decent understanding of the language means learning their 2500+ alphabet. But I’m making steady progress and should hopefully be able to translate works without constantly relying on a dictionary.

Anyway, this year was pretty good. Looking forward to the next! Happy New Year everybody!!!

That’s all for now!
